eMed® Labs
eMed Labs, founded in 2020 to democratize healthcare, initially thrived with at-home testing. However, rapid growth led to design and communication challenges. Through a dedicated design overhaul, the company improved user experience and launched a flexible product for both B2B and D2C markets.

Problem Statement
The fast-paced launch of eMed Labs’ services resulted in a disjointed user experience, lacking a cohesive design system, effective app functionality, and clear communication, particularly affecting user interactions with proctors.

The Journey
I helped by working on and guiding the team on a comprehensive redesign process, including developing a complete design system, A/B testing for landing pages, and utilizing various CMS platforms to enhance brand alignment. I mapped user flows in Miro and Lucid, and engaged in iterative wireframing and prototyping using Figma and ProtoPie. As priorities shifted from COVID-focused products to broader health solutions, the team adapted to deliver a flexible product for both B2B and D2C audiences.

The Solution
My design team and I delivered a comprehensive design system to resolve brand inconsistencies in marketing and product, leading to the adoption of Webflow for all our sites. We've also structured and designed a new native app for B2B clients and adapted it for D2C clients to help them track their activities. Additionally, we revamped our user-facing procedures with new animations and captions to bridge language gaps and introduced camera and self-attestation widgets with AI assistance to enhance intuitiveness and user-friendliness.

Final Results
Post-launch, eMed Labs saw a 0.2% increase in user ratings, leading to the closure of two significant B2B deals with over 400,000 potential users. The Shemed brand for women’s health gained traction in the UK market, with increasing order volumes. By 2024, the design team was recognized as a standard for quality and efficiency within the company.
